Not Just Another Dive Trip.
An Expedition Worth Remembering.
Some dive trips are measured in dives. Others are remembered for a lifetime.
Badge of Honor is VISION Expeditions' signature California diving adventure. One vessel. Eight extraordinary days of diving. All eight of California's Channel Islands. And just 22 divers invited to take part in the inaugural voyage.
From the towering kelp forests of Catalina to the wild, remote waters of San Miguel and San Nicolas, this expedition brings together some of the most spectacular and challenging diving destinations on the West Coast.
This isn't about checking dive sites off a list. It's about going farther, exploring more, and experiencing the remarkable diversity of California's offshore islands in one unforgettable journey.
Eight Islands. Eight Days. One VISION.
Eight Islands. Eight Distinct Adventures.
Each Channel Island has its own personality, underwater landscape, and marine ecosystem.
Catalina Island
The Kelp Forests
Towering kelp forests, clear blue water, rocky reefs and abundant marine life — one of California's most celebrated diving destinations.
Santa Barbara Island
The Sea Lion Playground
Spectacular underwater arches, rocky formations, playful sea lions, and occasional encounters with giant black sea bass.
Anacapa Island
The Underwater Cathedral
Dramatic volcanic formations, towering walls, caves, and thriving marine life create an extraordinary underwater landscape.
Santa Cruz Island
The Island of Discovery
California's largest Channel Island — expansive kelp forests, rugged reefs, walls, and underwater caves across a remarkable variety of environments.
Santa Rosa Island
The Explorer's Island
Cool, nutrient-rich waters, diverse marine ecosystems, and historic shipwrecks make for exceptional exploration and underwater photography.
San Miguel Island
The Wild Frontier
Remote, rugged and exposed to the open Pacific. Rewards experienced divers with rich biodiversity and dramatic underwater environments.
San Nicolas Island
The Remote Outpost
Isolated and rarely visited. Uncrowded waters, lush kelp forests, dramatic terrain and thriving marine life.
San Clemente Island
The Southern Jewel
Exceptional visibility, colorful gorgonian sea fans, dramatic walls, and abundant marine life — some of Southern California's finest diving.
Eight islands. Eight completely different experiences. One extraordinary expedition.
Only 22 Divers. By Design.
Badge of Honor is not a high-volume dive trip.
Although VISION can accommodate more than 30 passengers, we're limiting this expedition to just 22 divers — more room on deck, easier access to the water, a relaxed atmosphere, and the freedom to make the most of every diving opportunity.
Your home for the expedition is VISION, an 88-foot purpose-built liveaboard. While you rest, dine, and share the day's adventures, VISION carries you toward the next island.
Unpack once. Explore eight islands.

The Badge
The Badge Is Earned. Not Bought.
Every great expedition deserves something worth remembering.
Each participant in the inaugural Badge of Honor voyage will receive an exclusive commemorative medallion, individually numbered 001 through 022, along with a matching expedition patch and personalized certificate.
Only 22 divers will belong to the inaugural Class of 2027.
The badge represents more than the miles traveled or the dives completed. It symbolizes a shared adventure, a spirit of exploration, and participation in a truly distinctive California diving expedition.
Twenty-two divers. One inaugural class. A badge worth earning.
The Adventure Is Real. So Is the Ocean.
Badge of Honor is designed for experienced, properly certified recreational divers comfortable with multi-day liveaboard diving and offshore conditions. Our objective is to dive all eight Channel Islands; weather, sea state, and operational considerations ultimately shape the route. That's the nature of a true expedition — the destination is our objective, but the ocean shapes the adventure. Full expedition terms are included in your booking confirmation.
